It is so important for children to internalize Scripture from an early age, making God's Word truly the center of their whole worldview. Because it can be hard to know where to start, we have taken the time to compile for you a list of short, easy, meaningful Bible verses for very young children to memorize. We chose these verses with three things in mind. They had to be short, and fairly easy to understand (or at least be easy to explain), and they had to be concepts that are meaningful to young children. Here they are. We hope that you will choose several to help your young children memorize as a family. "You shall not steal." Deuteronomy 5:19. "Abstain from every form of evil." I Thessalonians 5:22. "I love Thee, O Lord, my Strength." Psalm 18:1. "Let love of the brethren continue." Hebrews 13:1. "For we walk by faith, not by sight." II Corinthians |
